How to Play Thulla Online

Thulla is a classic trick-taking card game where the goal is simple: get rid of all your cards before everyone else. Here is how to play Thulla online with friends, from opening a room to winning your first game.

What you need

• A phone, tablet or computer with a modern browser, or the free Thulla app on Android or iOS.
• A few friends, or other players to join your room.
• Landscape orientation on a phone gives the best view of your cards.

Step 1: Open the game

Go to thulla.online and tap Play Instantly. The game opens full screen in your browser and nothing needs to be installed. If you prefer, install the app from Google Play or the App Store.

Step 2: Create or join a room

Create a new room to host your own game, or join an existing one. Every room has a short room code.

Step 3: Invite your friends

Share the room link on WhatsApp, Discord or any chat app. When a friend opens the link, the room code is filled in and they can join in one tap, either in the browser or in the app.

Step 4: Play your cards

1. The cards are dealt among all the players.
2. On your turn, play a card of the same suit that was led.
3. If you have no card of that suit, you can play any other card.
4. When a round ends, either the cards are discarded or one player picks them up. See the full rules for exactly how this works.

Step 5: Win the game

Keep playing rounds until you have no cards left. Players leave the game as they run out of cards, and the last player still holding cards is the Thulla.
